By Design
Our suggested float is the 7.2 miles from Arrowhead Cabin & Canoe to Glenwood. Through most of the year you will find Class I water, but after a good rain the river can provide you with a Class II experience. We suggest everyone wear a life jacket, if under the age of 13, you must have life jacket on at all times while in a canoe or kayak, IT IS THE LAW, and you could get ticketed if you do not have it on.
When canoeing, we suggest you bring the following: shoes that you don't mind getting wet, hat or visor, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks & ice chest with beverages in aluminum or plastic containers. There are numerous sand and gravel bars along the river for picnicking , camping, etc. Please obey landowner signs and remember to "PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT!"
